How many wineries do Kakheti tours visit?

Most tours include 2 to 3 wineries or family cellars with tastings. Each tour page lists the stops and how many tastings are included.

Many Kakheti tours include a traditional Georgian lunch or supper. Check the inclusions on each tour page.

When is the best time for a wine tour?

Any time of year works. September and October are harvest season, when you can see grapes being pressed and join Rtveli celebrations.

How long is a Kakheti day trip?

Usually 9 to 11 hours from Tbilisi, with about 2 hours of driving each way.

Can I buy wine to take home?

Yes, wineries sell bottles on site. Check your airline's liquid and luggage rules before buying.

Is it suitable for non-drinkers?

Yes. Sighnaghi, Bodbe Monastery and the Alazani Valley views are worth the trip on their own, and most wineries can offer juice or other non-alcoholic options on request.
